Change settings for a Designer effect

The settings you choose for a Designer effect can dramatically alter your results. For example, the default settings for the Watercolor effect can make an object look like an abstract painting. But if you modify the brush detail for this effect, you'll retain more of the object's original detail.

1. Select one or more objects in the workspace.
   
   
2. On the Effects menu, click Designer Effects.
   
   
3. At the top of the Designer Effects workpane, click Settings.
   
   
4. Select the options you want.

For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then click the option.
